From 2018 to 2020 I worked as the Dynamic Imaging Coordinator at Widen Enterprises. Here a few of my babies.
Voice Recognition
The accessibility team at Widen has been doing some amazing work. After one of their presentations I was inspired to do some testing combining the Web Speech API with Widen's DAM search API. The result was a simple, yet powerful browser seach page allowing users to search, preview, and download assets from their collective without ever touching their keyboard.
Lo-Res to Hi-Res Annotation
A coworker posed an interesting problem to me recently. We were receiving hundreds of low resolution images with an annotation layer that needed to be added to the high resolution equivalent. More importantly the annotations needed to be specifically placed, and often one version of the image had been cropped. In the end I scripted a usage of Photoshop's "Auto-Align Layers" tool, resulting in a droplet that near-instantly completely what had become a multi-day task.
Past Work
MUFA
For a number of years I did probono work for the Madison Ultimate Frisbee Association, creating designs for jerseys, shirts, discs, etc... I still get excited when I see someone wearing one of these shirts around town in Madison.
Planet Wise Inc.
While working for Planet Wise Inc., I was in charge of doing the majority of our custom textile design work. I didn't always get to choose the subject matter for the designs, but every once in a while I managed to slip one of my nerdier ideas through.
